Benson Sande Ndeta
The Director of Criminal Investigations has arrested the proprietor of Savana Cement, businessman Benson Sande Ndeta, for over Sh700M in fraud.
According to the DCI, Ndeta faces charges ranging from forgery, conspiracy to defraud, obtaining credit by false pretenses, and uttering false documents contrary to the law.
According to the charges preferred against him by the office of the DPP, the businessman is linked to a deadly fraud at the Savanah Cement.

He was arrested after the said charges were approved by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) following investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The problem that Ndeta is facing worsens after Senior Prosecutor Jacinta Nyamosi gave an order that a warrant of arrest be immediately issued for Ndeta and his alleged accomplice, controversial Charles Hill Jr., an American national.

The American National has also been linked to multiple frauds.
According to multiple confidential reports, the Kenyan government is working closely with the United States government to have Hill surrender to Kenya and obtain additional evidence.
Ndeta’s arrest has sparked political interference, with some senior Azimio leaders, starting with Mr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa, paying him a courtesy call at the Muthaiga Police Station to seek his release on bond.

It is alleged that Ndeta and his accomplices transferred thousands of shares from the company to defraud the company.
Further probe reveals that Ndeta is among key bidders plotting to buy Bamburi Cement.
“Despite the challenges, Ndeta remains a key contender in the Sh25.42 billion bid to acquire Bamburi Cement, outbidding rival Amsons by Ksh 1.81 billion. Savannah Clinker’s offer of Sh70 per share represents a premium over Amsons’ Ksh 65 bid, with a proposed completion date of February 2025,” revealed a close source.
