Grace Kathin Veki, a businesswoman, is facing allegations related to a Sh3.1 million foodstuff fraud case during her appearance at the Milimani Law Courts.
Appearing before Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo, Grace Kathin Veki pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against her.
According to the prosecution, Grace Kathin Veki is accused of fraudulently inducing Rosemary Ndunge Malonza of Novatus Limited to supply 400 pieces of 20-litre Somo cooking oil, valued at Sh2,358,000, between February 1 and February 28, 2024, in Nairobi County. She allegedly committed the offence alongside others who are yet to be charged.

In a second charge, the court heard that between July 1 and July 30, 2024, still in Nairobi County, Grace Kathin Veki and unidentified accomplices allegedly used similar fraudulent means to deceive Job Omondi Mark Imboko of Sharklet Enterprises Limited into delivering 150 pieces of 20-litre Top Fry cooking oil valued at Sh847,500.
Grace Kathin Veki was granted release on a bond of Sh1 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh400,000, pending the hearing and determination of her case.
