Obadiah Kipkemoi Langat
Obadiah Kipkemoi Langat, also known as Richard, has been charged in a Milimani court over a Sh300,000 fake gold inspection scandal. He allegedly conspired to defraud foreigner Azimagli Serge Amani by falsely claiming he could facilitate the inspection of 200 KGS of detained gold bars at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The offenses reportedly occurred between August 2 and 6, 2024, in Kenya. Langat denied the charges and was granted bail of Sh150,000 by Principal Magistrate Rose Ndombi.

Mr.Obadiah Kipkemoi Langat alias Richard is accused of conspiring to steal the said money from Azimagli Serge Amani after falsely pretending that he was in a position to facilitate the inspection of 200 KGS of gold bars which had been detained at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), a fact he knew to be false and illegal.

The accused person is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 2nd and 6th August 2024, within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with another already before the court.
In court, he denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Rose Ndombi and was released on a cash bail of Sh 150,000.
