Nelson Mukara Sechere: A Famous Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Kenya Veterans for Peace Organization has been charged with over SH 20M cooking oil and rice fraud contrary to the law.
Accused person Nelson Mukara Sechere was yesterday charged that on December 6, 2023, and December 11, 2023, at Nairobi City in Nairobi County, jointly with others not before the court, with intent to defraud,

obtained from Caroline Mwoni Amusala goods which are 600 sacks of 25kgs of rice and 500 Jerrycans of 20litres each, of cooking oil all valued at Sh 4,026,700 by falsely pretending that it was a genuine agreement between her and Kenya Veterans for Peace for the supply and delivery of the said goods, the fact you knew to be false.
The court heard that the director who also faces several cases of fraud in court denied obtaining goods by using tricks.

The Court was informed that on diverse between July 1, 2024, and September 20, 2024, at Kenya Veterans for Peace Nyayo House 16th floor with intent to defraud obtained goods which are 12,040 Kgs of Sugar,15,020Kgs of rice and 5720Kgs of cooking oil all valued at Sh 16,989,500 from Kipkoech Mutai by falsely pretending that he was in a position to pay for the goods upon delivery, knowing it was untrue.
