President William Ruto has thrown his weight behind Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen’s recent remarks condemning violence during the June 25 protests.
In a strong statement, the president ordered a nationwide crackdown on individuals caught assaulting law enforcement officers during the demonstrations.

Ruto emphasized that while the right to protest is enshrined in the Constitution, violence against police officers and destruction of property will not be tolerated.
Security agencies have been directed to track down and arrest anyone linked to the attacks, with the president calling for swift legal action against the perpetrators.
